| Our northern acclimated bees and queens are selected for and well adapted to upstate New York's seasonal cycles, weather conditions, forage (native, ornamental and agricultural), pests and diseases. | |
| Where is the source of your bees and what strain(s) are they? | |
| We select from two distinct strains of bees; VP Queens VSH Carniolan (Spartan) strains produced from Spartan breeder queens, and Caucasian strains produced from breeder queens from Washington State University. Our local strain which is surviving stock selected from a mix of local queen producers, swarms and surrounding beekeepers. | |
| Where do the bees overwinter? | |
| Our bees winter over throughout the Finger Lakes, eastern shore of Lake Ontario and the west side of the Tug Hill Plateau regions of upstate New York. | |

| Our northern acclimated bees and queens are from colonies established year 'round throughout the Finger Lakes, eastern shore of Lake Ontario and the west side of the Tug Hill Plateau regions of upstate New York.
