Every Monday we alcohol wash for mites a statistically representative number of colonies in our yards, we rotate sampling locations. | |

We sample mites on the bottom board and look for mite chewing percentages every few weeks. And we compare that to alcohol wash counts for final selection. All breeder queens have both alcohol wash and chewing percentage data. IPM soft treatments used by USDA and Purdue standards. |
